PRINCIPLES BEHIND THE POLICY
We only collect and use the data that is necessary, and we do not share any of this data with third parties. 

OUR BUSINESS

We are a very small business of one person, (the artist Malc Baxter and his daughter who looks after the website), and as such, we do not have a Data Protection Officer.  However, do feel free to contact us should you have any queries.

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Online purchases: 
Our online store is powered by WIX.  As part of the ordering process, the plug-in collects the following data:

 

  • Name

  • Billing address

  • Shipping address

  • Payment information

  • Email address

All data associated with credit cards is collected via PayPal, we do not hold this information at all.  PayPal is classified as Level 1 PCI DSS (The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant and therefore very secure.  

  • Device tracking: 
    When you visit the website, we use Google Analytics to collect certain data about your device. This information is anonymous, however you can opt out using your own browser settings.  This information is collated by Google, and we are, for instance, able to use it to track how visitors to the site have found us and which pages they interact with.  We use this to help us improve the site for all visitors.

HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION

Our purpose for collecting your personal information wis to enable us to ship physical products and to ensure you can use and interact with our website as you wish.  More specifically, we use / have used your information in the following ways:

  • For our online record keeping of purchase orders.

  • To enable us to fulfil orders placed through the website.

  • To enable us to arrange for shipping.

  • To provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations.

  • To communicate with you when appropriate to clarify an order or shipping address.

  • To screen orders for potential risk or fraud

DATA RETENTION

If you have placed an order through the website, we will maintain your order information, (not payment data), for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

We have procedures in place to protect your personal information from unauthorised access or disclosure, both during transmission and once we receive it.  However, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.  We assume no liability for any disclosure of data due to errors in transmission or unauthorised third party access without our permission.

Please note that we do not alter our website’s data collection and use practices when we see a 'Do Not Track' signal from your browser.

CHILDREN'S POLICY

The website is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.  Accordingly, we will not knowingly collect or use any personal information from children that we know to be under the age of 18.
